Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) |
Rotary Leadership Institute is for all Rotary Leaders in
your club. It is our goal for many Rotarians from every
club in our districts to take advantage of these
educational opportunities and send at least one
candidate to the sessions especially current and future
club leaders.
The West Virginia Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) is
scheduled for April 14. The sessions begin at 8:30
a.m., lunch at noon, and end at 3:30 p.m. The location
is The Days Inn, Flatwoods, West Virginia. This
location provides an opportunity for Districts #7550 and
#7530 to attend a RLI without traveling many miles.

Part I provides insight into the Rotary Foundation,
Membership Retention, and a look into the Rotary beyond
the club level. Part I also outlines ideas to create
service projects and review methods to develop
leadership potential. Part I is a prerequisite to
enrolling in Parts II and III.
Part II provides more in-depth discussion about the
Rotary Foundation, how to analyze your Rotary Club, goal
setting, and membership recruitment. Part II also gives
participants ideas to improve and recognize vocational
service projects. Part II is a prerequisite to Part
III.
Part III emphasizes practical ways of bringing
international service to your Club; using your local
club experiences to assist in the understanding of the
core programs of RI, recreational, vocational and other
service opportunities; and, planning and execution of
effective public relations. Rotarians will evaluate
the RLI experience in all three undergraduate sessions
and discuss the impact of suggested changes to the
program.
Please encourage members of your club and especially
“future leaders” to attend this training. You will
receive additional information for registration in the
next few weeks. Looking forward to seeing you at RLI in
Flatwoods on April 14.

The cost
is $85 per attendee and each club should consider
reimbursement for those willing to attend. Additional
registration information will be sent in the next few
weeks.
